First, open up the macro window. You are able to do this either by opening the main menu and choosing Macros, or by typing /macro (/m) in the chat box. In the top of the window, you'll see two tabs: General Macros and Yourname Particular Macros. Common macros are stored on an account-by-account basis and are shared by all of your characters. Character specific macros are, well, I think you can figure this one out your self. :P Immediately under the tabs is a grid of 18 boxes exactly where the macros are displayed. Under these, there's a single box which displays your currently-selected macro having a Alter Name/Icon button next to it. Beneath that's the edit box exactly where you really type the macro. Finally, at the bottom you've a number of self-explanatory buttons to wow jewelcrafting profession.
To make a macro, click the New button at the bottom of the window. This brings up an additional little window off to the side exactly where you choose the icon and kind a name for the macro. If you choose the question mark icon (Inv misc questionmark), WoW will automatically pick an icon for the macro based on what spells or products are listed within the macro. As soon as you have selected an icon and a name, click the Okay button in wow jewelcrafting list.
A couple of notes: You can manage what icon is shown in place of the question mark using the #show commands. Even though you can name two macros exactly the same, it's better to prevent this because some functions of addons or even certain macro commands reference macros by name. You are able to also add custom icons towards the list.
Now you'll notice that the macro icon you chose has been added to the 18 boxes talked about earlier (as a lot of the name as will match is also displayed around the icon). The newly produced macro may also be chosen so now it is time to begin writing your macro. Click in the edit box of the macro window to start typing.More at wow jewelcrafting guide 1-375.
